Up for your consideration is this beautiful $50 T-6 Confederate note. Conservatively graded to be in EXTREMELY FINE+ condition. Hand written date of September 11 1861. Plate letter B.

Engraved and printed by The Southern Bank Note Company in New Orleans. Red fiber paper. Two females representing Pallas (Agriculture) and Ceres (Industry) in the center. George Washington is featured at the far right. At the far left is a female representing "Justice" holding scales and a sword.

Serial # 4238. Total issue of 5798. This issue has an estimated survival rate between 500-1000.

Sharp details and dark green color. Nice eye appeal. Not cut cancelled. No tears or repairs. No pinholes. A hard vertical crease is present, along with a few other light handling creases are visible. Minor hinge glue remnant is visible on the backside.

Signed by the actual Register, Robert Tyler, and the original Treasurer, Edward Elmore. A hand written endorsement is penned on the backside which reads:
