A scarce $1 remainder note from The Florida, Atlantic & Gulf Central Railroad Company in Jacksonville, Florida. Plate letter A. Issued in 1800's.

Printed by the American Bank Note Company. This Rail Road note features a vignette of a group of horses looking at a passing passenger train. It reads that it was payable in transportation rather then cash. The track for this railroad was laid by 1860 and connected Jacksonville with Lake City.

Conservatively encapsulated and graded by PCGS to be in "CHOICE UNCIRCULATED 58 PPQ" condition.

Crisp paper. Dark printing. Fully framed with ample margins. Strong details. Thin paper that is crisp and clean with no staining. NO folds, hard creases, tears, stains, repairs, ink erosion or pinholes. Just a couple light handling creases are visible with careful scrutiny.

This note is tough to find in problem free condition. If you like to collect Southern Rail Road issues, this scarcer Florida issue will be a great addition to any collection.

Price: $695.00
